The Federal Republic of Nigeria national health system is complex, diverse and decentralised with examples of evidence of good practice amidst a plethora of duplications and other perennial inefficiencies. The imperative for step-change in the coordination of the national health system is overwhelmingly accepted by majority of stakeholders, and has been articulated in several national policy and strategic frameworks.

The challenge is the strategic commitment and expertise to lead, diagnose, design, implement and learn from the required innovations to bring about the desired sustainable multi-dimensional step-change in the performance of the system through enhanced coordination of its components.

AVO Health has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria to provide the necessary project/programs management expertise and other technical assistance to improve the functionality of the Health Partners Coordinating Committee, Technical Working Groups and other Coordination Structures of the National Health System.
